What is In Home Care?

It has been known in the past as Private Duty Home Care, Eldercare, or Senior Care. This service is designed to meet the needs of a person with illness or injury that needs help managing at home.

What service does Care N Assist provide?

Care N Assist provides Homemaking services such as meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping/errands, incidental transportation, and medication reminders. We also provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene, mobility assistance, transferring and positioning, toileting and incontinence and feeding/special diet assistance.

How are our Home Health Aides selected?

Each Home Health Aide is carefully screened and prepared before caring for a client. We call this our Care Connects process. An employee survey begins the process giving us key information about personality, talents and interests. This information is then paired with the Care Connects information gathered during our free informational visit with the client and a Home Health Aide is selected.

How do you find the best Home Health Aides?

Before they can join our team they must clear criminal background checks and personal and professional reference checks. In-service training pre-employment and monthly helps to create and maintain a high level of care.

Is it safe to higher a Care N Assist aide?

All Care N Assist employees are bonded, insured, and covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance for our clients’ peace-of-mind.

How much does In-Home Care cost?

Care costs are provided on a scale depending on the type of help needed. We would be glad to share this information if you contact us by phone or email.

Are services available 24 hours, 7 days a week?

Yes. Services are available for as little as 2 hours a visit, or up to 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Who makes sure the Home Health Aides are doing their job?

Each office has an Administrator that is responsible to supervise each Home Health Aide. We use Care Plans written by a Registered Nurse to clearly instruct them. Care Plans are updated as often as there is a change in our clients needs.

Will I have the same Home Health Aide all the time?

It is our goal to introduce the Care Connects team member or members that will meet your needs. They’re assignment will not change unless requested by the client or illness or injury prevent them from continuing.

Why should I use an agency for In Home Care?

There are four main reasons to use an agency for In Home Care. First, our home health aides have background checks and training. Second, we supervise our aides to ensure they are doing what is expected of them. Third, you are insured against any claims against you if an aide is injured in your home. Last, you have the agency as a back up if your aide is sick or can no longer provide care.
